Installing the RealCart™ CD

Aren't you smart,
you just found RealCart!

To install the CD just put it into your CD ROM drive and wait a moment or two while the drive spins up and automatically starts the software installation routine. If your CD ROM drive doesn’t start in several moments just double-click the “My Computer” icon, then double-click the file called “setup.exe” to begin the installation.

If you downloaded our program from the internet, locate and double-click the realcartv2.exe program file. The installation routine should begin.

Here’s what to do when the installation routine starts up:

When it says: “Starting RealCart Setup, please wait” just wait until the next screen comes up.
First Click on the white dialog box that says: “Mindvision Software” to begin the install.
Click “Next >” on the “RealCart logo screen”
Shut down any other programs you have running before clicking “Next >” on the “Welcome screen” If necessary, you may want to cancel the install until you are sure no other programs are running.
Click “Next >” on the “Important Notes”
Click “Yes” to indicate your acceptance of the “Software License Agreement” (Clicking No will abort the installation.)
If the default folder C:\Program Files\RealCart.com is OK, click “Next >” on the “Choose Destination Location screen” If it is not, please enter the installation folder you prefer here, then click Next.
Choose Setup Type
- If the typical setup is OK, just click “Next >” on the “Setup Type screen”
- If not, choose Compact or Custom, then click “Next >” on the “Setup Type screen”
If RealCart 2.0 is OK for the Program Folder name, click “Next >” on the “Select Program Folder screen”
If everything is OK click “Next >” on the “Ready to Install screen”
For the next several minutes you can just relax as the program files are copied to your hard drive. If you had a previous version of the shopping cart installed your existing stores will also be copied over to the new RealCart installation folder at this time. (It may be time to grab another cup of coffee.)
Click “Finish” on the “Finished screen” to run the shopping cart upon completion of the installation routine. If you do not wish to run the cart at this time, simply uncheck the checkbox next to “Run RealCart 2.0 now!” option.

To run the shopping cart in the future just double-click the icon on the desktop or choose RealCart 2.0 from the RealCart 2.0 menu by clicking “Start / Programs / RealCart 2.0 / RealCart 2.0”

Installing from the Business Card sized CD

If you have one of our CD Business Cards you can run it in any CD ROM drive that utilize a tray. CD ROM drives that you have to just feed a normal sized CD through a slot (like most in-dash CD players) will not be able to read the business card CD. If your CD ROM drive has a tray, however, just set the Business Card CD disk into the tray aligned with the inner lip of the CD ROM loading tray as pictured below:

Simply place the business card CD in the drawer as shown above. If you have your CPU mounted sideways in a stand or just sitting “on end” you will not be able to install the business card CD on the computer unless you lay the computer down horizontally. The tabs that hold normal sized CDs will not hold the business card CD.

If you have a notebook computer simply snap the CD onto the spindle as shown below. Keep in mind that any of these photos above or below can be enlarged just by clicking them.
