Most merchant account providers use a “Payment Gateway” to allow you to accept credit card payments online. RealCart™ can integrate most Payment Gateways provided they support the following

Minimal Requirements:

The Payment Gateway must offer an “Order Description Field” capable of holding our order string without truncating the order details. (What does this mean?)
The Payment Gateway must offer an “HTML based interface” consisting of a simple HTML form that posts to their servers. (What does this mean?)
The Payment Gateway must have a “set of integration instructions” that shows what form fields to use, what their expected values should be as well as what URL to post the sale to. (What does this mean?)
The Payment Gateway should offer the “ability to post the transaction to their server WITHOUT the credit card number” already being entered into the form. Note: This requirement is not necessary if you do not mind placing the entire shopping cart installation on a secure SSL encrypted server. (What does this mean?)
