Answer:
If the Payment Gateways HTML form requires that the credit card information be sent to the server from YOUR web site then you will want to put your entire shopping cart on a secure server. Otherwise your customers will not see a padlock or key icon on their browser status bar and will be less likely to do business with you.
If you have a secure server already and dont mind housing the entire shopping cart on the secure server then you can go ahead and request that we add this gateway to our product.
It seems a little silly to go to the trouble of setting up SSL and getting the shopping cart on a secure server and then not handle the orders yourself. Typically web merchants will utilize a payment gateway because they do not have a secure way for their customers to order with their credit cards.
If the Payment Gateway secure order form will allow no credit card to be passed to it and then ask the customer for his credit card on the payment gateways server then you do not need to worry about having your shopping cart on a secure server. Your customer will be transferred to the Secure Server of the Payment Gateway prior to entering their credit card number.
