Methods of Payment

The only time you need to worry about choosing which credit cards to accept is if you are using one of the following checkout methods:

My NT Server
My UNIX Server

If you use ANY secure order provider like Authorize.net, WorldPay, VeriSign, PayPal or some other secure order provider you will need to have your secure order provider adjust which types of payments you accept on their secure servers. If you are going to collect credit card numbers yourself on your own server (e.g. via My NT Server or My UNIX Server) then you can choose them here. Another term for Secure Order Provider is Merchant Account Provider, basically, the company that helped get you set up to accept credit cards on-line.

For those of you NOT using a Secure Order Provider, place a check mark next to each method of payment your store accepts by clicking the small box to the left of each option. When a box is checked then that particular payment method will appear on your checkout page. If the box is empty then that particular payment method will NOT appear on your checkout page.

Personal Checks

To accept personal checks check the box next to “Personal Checks”.

Electronic Checks

To accept Electronic checks check the box next to “Electronic Checks”.

Get Shipping Address

If you want to collect a shipping address in addition to a billing address check the bottom box “Get Shipping Address”.

PayPal users

Until recently you could not accept credit cards from a secure order provider AND PayPal at the same time. With version 2.0.1, the RealCart PayPal plug-in supports simultaneous Merchant Account and PayPal combination checkout pages. Alternatively you can choose PayPal as a secure order provider in the first tab of this dialog box.
