Selecting Choices

What follows is a guide for making choices available to your customers.

Easy Step by Step..

The following steps can be followed on a blank product profile. In other words, if you have not previously made any choice options. But the same steps can also be followed over and over again to make additional choice options.

Step One Click on the 'New' button
Step Two Enter a name of the choice in the top information field (for example, 'size choices')
Step Three Enter what type of choice it is (for example, 'Size')
Step Four Click on 'OK'
Step Five In the information field labeled 'Choice name', enter an option (for example, 'large')
Step Six In the information field labeled 'Price Adjustment', enter any price adjustment that comes with this option (for example, +2.00)
Step Seven Click on the button labeled 'Add Choice'
Step Eight Repeat steps Five through Seven for any additional options under this section of choices (for example, 'small', 'medium', etc.)

You can use the 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons at the top to change or remove the label and type of choice. The 'Edit Choice' and 'Remove Choice' buttons can be used in much the same way.

When you have perfected the option and price choices on this page, click on 'OK' and they will be saved for the specific product that you are creating a profile for, as well as making these options available for future products whose pages you have yet to create.

A Few Extra Tips and Info...

You can have as many types of selections as you can dream up. Size, Color, etc... each individual set of options will have it's own drop-down list.
When typing in your price adjustments, make sure they all have the same format. It provides a more professional look for your page and cuts down on confusion by customers. For instance, either put a "+" sign in front of all numbers.. or don’t put it in front of any of them.
Refer to the bottom of the page to see a preview of what your customer's drop-down list will be displayed as. Handy to fix any errors now than later.
When your customer chooses an option with a price increase, that will be reflected on the product page 'Price' field, as well as next to the item in their cart when they click 'Add to Cart'.
